Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hostwolf's game server hosting services, website and control panel (together, the "Service"). Hostwolf ("we", "us") is a game server hosting service based in the United States. By creating an account or purchasing a server, you accept these Terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to use the Service.

2. What we provide

Hostwolf provides self-managed game server hosting: virtualised server instances running on infrastructure in the regions we advertise. You get a control panel, file access (SFTP and web file manager), console access and the ability to configure your server. We provide the platform — you are responsible for how your server is configured, moderated and used.

We aim for continuous availability, but we do not currently guarantee an uptime SLA. We may perform maintenance, apply security updates or migrate instances between hosts; where practical we will announce this in advance.

3. Your account

Keep your credentials confidential and your account information accurate. You are responsible for activity carried out with your account, including by people you add as sub-users. Tell us immediately at hostwolfsupport@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service, or allow it to be used, to:

• break any law applicable to you or to the region your server runs in;
• launch, relay or participate in denial-of-service, brute-force, port-scanning or other attacks against any system;
• mine cryptocurrency or run sustained non-gaming workloads without our written permission;
• distribute malware, spam, or unsolicited bulk communication;
• host, link to or distribute content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights — including unlicensed game files or pirated software;
• harass, dox or threaten people, or host content that does so;
• circumvent or overload our technical safeguards, or resell the Service without an agreement with us.

We may suspend or terminate servers that violate these rules, with notice where practical. Illegal activity gets no notice. We report it where we are legally required or it is appropriate to do so.

5. Fees, payment and renewal

Servers are prepaid for the billing period you choose (monthly or longer). Fees are shown per region at checkout and exclude any applicable VAT/sales tax, which is added where required. Renewals are automatic until cancelled.

If a payment fails, we will retry and give you a grace period before suspending the server. Suspended servers are normally deleted no earlier than 14 days after suspension, with at least one reminder to the email on file. Daily backups of deleted servers do not survive indefinitely — download your files when your period ends if you are leaving.

6. Refunds

Our refund commitments are set out on the Refunds page, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Backups and your data

We take automated daily backups as a courtesy service and keep a rolling window of restore points. Backups protect against hardware and software failure — they are not an archive. You remain responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, and you can download your full server files at any time.

8. Third-party software and licences

Games, mods, plugins and other third-party software you run on your server are governed by their own licences. You are responsible for having the rights to use them. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any game publisher unless stated otherwise. Game names and trademarks belong to their owners.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) the Service is provided "as is" and "as available"; (b) we exclude liability for indirect and consequential losses, including lost data, lost game progress, lost profits or lost community; and (c) our total aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or personal injury.

10. Termination

You can cancel any time from the panel; your server stays online until the end of the paid period unless you ask us to delete it earlier. We may terminate or suspend the Service for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or legal obligations, with notice where practical.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change the Service (including available regions and games) as it evolves. If we make material changes to these Terms we will notify account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and contact
